Jeste li znali da postoje mjesta gdje je zakonom zabranjeno povesti lava u kino, spavati na frižideru, pecati u pidžami, posuditi usisivač od komšije, zaboraviti ženin rođendan ili umrijeti?

Nedavno smo učili o blesavim zakonima koji su na snazi u raznim državama, a najveći broj ih je vjerovatno u SAD.

Evo nekih od njih:

• You can't take a lion to the cinema. (Baltimore)
• It's illegal to go fishing in your pyjamas. (Chicago)
• It is forbidden to sleep on top of a refrigerator. (Pennsylvania)
• It is illegal for your neighbour to borrow your vacuum cleaner. (Denver, Colorado)
• You can be arrested or fined for harassing Bigfoot. (Washington)
• It’s against the law for a woman to drive a car in Main Street unless her husband is walking in front of the car waving a red flag. (Waynesboro, Virginia)
• If you are found stealing soap, you must wash yourself until the bar of soap has been completely used up. (Arizona)
• A motorist with criminal intentions must stop at the city limits and telephone the chief of police as he is entering the town. (Washington)
• It’s illegal for a man to give his fiancé a box of candy that weighs more than 50 lbs (22.5 kg). (Idaho)
• It’s illegal to attend a public event or use public transport within 4 hours of eating onions or garlic. (Indiana)
• You cannot buy meat of any kind on Sunday. (Washington)
• You may not take a picture of a rabbit from January to April without an official permit. (Wyoming)
• Bear wrestling matches are prohibited. (Alabama)
• Red cars may not drive down Lake Street. (Minneapolis, Minnesota)
• You are not allowed to eat fried chicken any other way than using your hands. (Gainesville, Georgia)
• You may not sell toothpaste and a toothbrush to the same customer on a Sunday. (Rhode Island)
• It’s illegal to sell your eyeballs. (Texas)
• Policemen are allowed to bite a dog if they think it will calm the dog down. (Paulding, Ohio)
• If you cut down a cactus, you could be sentenced to 25 years in prison. (Arizona)
• Chickens are not allowed to cross the road. (Quitman, Georgia)
• In Arkansas, a husband is allowed to beat his wife, but only once a month.

• In Thailand it is illegal to step on money.
• In July 2013 a law was passed in China that states it is illegal for adult children to not visit their parents “often”.
• In Britain, it is illegal to import potatoes into England or Wales if you have reasonable cause to believe that they are Polish.
• In parts of India, a man who is in debt can offer up his wife until the debt is paid.
• In France, it is stated as illegal to marry a dead person.
• In Hong Kong, there’s a law that allows a wife to kill her husband if she finds him cheating. However, she must kill him with her bare hands.
• In England it is illegal to die in the House Of Parliament.
• In Samoa it is illegal to forget your wife’s birthday.
• In Turin, Italy, dog owners must take their dogs on a walk at least three times a day.
• In Honolulu, Hawaii it is illegal to sing loudly after sunset.
• In Victoria, Australia, it is illegal to change a light bulb unless you’re a licensed electrician.
• Bangladeshi children of 15 and older can be sent to jail for cheating on their final exams.
• In Switzerland, it is illegal to flush a toilet after 10pm.
• In China, it is a law that a person must be intelligent to go to college.
• In Cyprus, it’s illegal to drink ANYTHING while you are driving, including water.
